Dr. Karin Voelker is a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialty in behavioral sleep medicine. She is dedicated to improving sleep health through a client-centered, strength-based approach that integrates evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. Dr. Voelker has extensive experience treating insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, anxiety, and other sleep-related challenges.

Dr. Voelker's therapeutic approach considers biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors that influence sleep and overall well-being. Through a collaborative and personalized relationship, she empowers her clients with clear, research-backed guidance, helping to alleviate the pressures and anxieties surrounding “good sleep.”

Dr. Voelker’s academic and professional journey has given her a deep understanding of sleep from both research and clinical perspectives. She began her career as a sleep research technician at Stanford University before earning her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. She also holds a master’s degree from San Francisco State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University's Sleep Medicine Center, home to one of the world's leading sleep research programs.

Dr. Voelker is fluent in English and German and offers telemedicine services to clients across California.
